Purpose and Activities of the Association

The purpose of the Association is to maintain, improve and support the rational design, discovery and development of new bioactive compounds in medicinal or agricultural fields by using the computational and molecular modeling aspects and to perform an innovative role for the biotechnological studies in Turkey by taking precedence cooperation’s with the industry and regional country societies.

CADD&D Society may in relation to its above-mentioned purposes and activities:

> Design and development of new biotechnological products by using the computer aided rational techniques,

> Supporting scientific activities and researches on QSAR, 3D QSAR, pharmacophore analysis, structure based drug design
and data mining,

> Definition of new physicochemical and/or molecular descriptors by using the computational chemistry,

> Characterization of 3D molecular structure of effectors and biological targets by using the molecular modeling techniques,

> Building ADME/Tox models in order to solve the pharmacokitetic problems in the preclinical studies,

> Supporting scientific activities and researches on chemoinformatics, bioinformatics, computational chemistry,
combinatorial chemistry, medicinal chemistry, computational proteomics, pharmacogenomics and chemogenomics
in the field of pharmaceutical biotechnology studies,

> Expanding and supporting the computer aided rational drug design, discovery and development studies in Turkey
cooperating with the other regional countries organizations,

> Gathering the people from academia and industry that are interested or working in this multidisciplinary area providing a
common meeting ground and to further the education of such people,

> Cooperating and organizing scientific meetings with the other same intended national and/or international societies
and/or organizations,

> Organizing meetings and contests, offering awards and scholarships.
